Purpose and Accountability

Under the supervision of the Manager, the incumbent completes diverse actuarial projects as needed under the operational environment and contributes to the evolution of methods; resolves problematics related to well-defined fields of application, but which require the incumbent to consider multiple alternatives, recommend and develop concrete solutions adapted to the company’s circumstances and which encompasses all aspects of diverse actuarial work such as: development, pricing and valuation of insurance or annuities products, diverse projects related to the financial strength, etc.  The incumbent can be invited to train and supervise the work of one or more professionals from preceding levels or to supervise administrative or technical work of employees.

Key Activities

1. Management of Creditor product portfolio

  • Pricing and valuation of Dealer Services’ creditor insurance portfolio
  • Completing regulatory requirements
  • Compiling and maintaining a budget
  • Develop projections for the DCAT report
  • Recommend improvements to current processes
  • Assist in transition to IFRS 17

2. Profitability analysis

  • Source of earnings analysis
  • Review reinsurance requirements
  • Review the profit margins and ROE of new business
  • Other applicable analysis as needed

Position Requirements


  • Bachelors in actuarial sciences, mathematics, or statistics


  • ASA designation and interest in finishing studies leading to FCIA designation


  • 3 years of relevant experience


  • Experience with AXIS and SQL;
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Access and other MS Office programs
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines;
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with all levels of staff;
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
