Acting as the front-line of the company in a call centre environment, this individual projects an excellent image of Qtrade Investor through telephone and email with professionalism and friendliness, and provides reliable information and excellent service to our online clients.
Provide prompt and courteous service to Qtrade clients, employees, partner staff, and the general public (in English and French);
Review and process online and phone orders for equities, mutual funds, options, foreign exchange, new issues, bonds, and other investment products;
Investigate account related enquiries and problem solve/resolve any issues;
Work closely with other departments to provide accurate and timely information to clients regarding new accounts, reorganizations, transfers, and credit/compliance issues;
Maximize client experience by monitoring order queues and responding to client phone calls in a timely manner;
Provide clients with accurate information relating to their Qtrade accounts, order entry, stock exchanges, alternative marketplaces, quotes, and Qtrade’s products and services;
Full understanding of applicable rules, policies, procedures, and regulations of the industry;
Various duties and projects as assigned.
Bilingual with French. Can speak and write fluently in French.
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and, ideally, the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
Call Centre experience in a financial institution (telephone banking, credit cards)
Strong understanding and fluency with the markets.
Strong front-line customer service experience, attitude and skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills over the phones.
Strong written communication skills.
Quickness with numbers, mathematically inclined.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong initiative and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to work across all Qtrade departments.
Must be able and willing to sit for long periods of time in a call centre environment.
Basic troubleshooting skills on PCs and understanding of various browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari). (Advise clients over the phone how to handle cookies, how to clear cache settings, etc.)
