The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for profitably growing the business through the management of existing product lines and for bringing new solutions to market.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Product Marketing Manager is the architect of the company’s present and future, and as such, is responsible for profitably growing the business through the management of existing product lines and for bringing new solutions to market.

The Product Marketing Manager drives the commercial success through exceptional market knowledge, superior product positioning, a focus on training & development, the creation of exceptional sales support materials, and ensuring all necessary processes and systems are set up for flawless order execution. The Product Marketing Manager will also work closely with the Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales and Services teams to bring products to market and to support strategic sales opportunities, maximizing the return on investment of our development efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

Be point of contact and be able to review progress of development activities with management

Develops and maintains Marketing strategy & roadmap addressing global and regional market needs

Positions products in the market to be successful

Able to articulate evolving Off-Grid Market technology and pricing present situation and future trends

Develops detailed MRD's to implement the Marketing roadmap

Manages the entire Marketing lifecycle, from initial concept through Marketing Withdrawal Process

Be able to provide solutions, avoid delays, and keep tasks on schedule

Maximize success of existing products

Constant vigilance on market parameters

Participate in strategic planning of new product development

Performs in-depth competitive analysis, identifying weaknesses and how to take advantage

Be able to give technical input for ongoing projects.

Brings successful new product to market that profitably increase market share

Builds and executes Marketing launch plans

Ensures all order execution processes and systems are set up and aligned to market and business needs

Defines warranty terms and participates in commercial contract reviews as a Marketing subject matter expert

Define and establish internal processes for a fast growing engineering team

EoL management to eliminate financial risk while supporting customer

Prepare plans and budget, track progress against plan and budget

Works closely with MarCom & technical writing to develop excellent collateral such as brochures, datasheets, presentations and technical documentation

Trains others on market and product

Supports trade shows & promotional events and participates in events as a Marketing expert when applicable

Supports sales and application engineering teams through the Marketing FAQ database

Supports specific strategic sales opportunities, including alignment of engineering and operations support with the sales team

Other tasks and duties as assigned

Travel is up to 25%

 

Qualifications:

+ 10 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager

Experience in renewable energy or windpower or solar systems or similar

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business required

Demonstrated experience with the following fundamental marketing processes:

Develop business case for new products

MRD development

ROI analysis

Presenting concepts to top level of LoB management, taking suggestions, refining the plan and getting buy in at the top level

Guiding products through the development process

Negotiating cost vs. value with Engineering

EoL management to eliminate financial risk while supporting customers

Expert in positioning
