Under the authority of the General Management, the Project Manager is responsible for a Mental Health program for youth.


RésoSanté BC is a provincial non-profit organization that promotes health and wellness services in French in British Columbia. We are the privileged interlocutor of the Ministry of Health regarding the health of Francophones. We are spreading across the province to promote health in French through the organization of many original activities and programs to engage Francophones. The project "Mental health, we're talking about it! Is designed to equip young people aged 13 to 22 from immigrant backgrounds, who attend francophone schools and educational institutions in British Columbia and Alberta, to be able to maintain positive mental health. Part-time position

Hours of work: 21h / week

Salary: $ 30 / h

Start date: Immediately

Location: Vancouver, BC with possible travel to British Columbia and Alberta

Project Manager - Mental Health Reporting to the Executive Director, the project manager is responsible for:

  • Ensuring project management by following the work plan already established (all stages of the project have been approved and a work plan detailing the different objectives, activities and outputs to be achieved will be shared);
  • Work in constant liaison with the project-related research and development team and facilitate evaluation processes to measure project results and impact;
  • Assist recruitment and recommend the hiring of project staff (coordinator / coordinator);
  • Supervise and work closely with the program coordinator;
  • Organize and facilitate networking;
  • Facilitate the meetings to deploy the project to the beneficiaries;
  • Report back to senior management and the ResoSanté team on the progress of the "Mental Health, We Talk About It" project each week via a progress chart of objectives;
  • Write the end-of-project report to our funder;
  • Take charge of accountability.



SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Have a great autonomy in his work, as well as a pronounced sense of event organization and the administration of projects with budget control;
  • Possess experience in the field of mental health, popularization of concepts related to health and a great ability to animate various age groups;
  • Preference will be given to a resourceful candidate with professional experience in community development, health promotion, and especially mental health, as well as the design and implementation of similar programs;
  • Have good team spirit, interpersonal skills, diplomacy and ability to receive direction from a variety of sources and hierarchical levels;
  • Have leadership in developing a project vision related to the school environment and community mental health;
  • Have an excellent sense of communications, event promotion, and a good knowledge of social media as a promotional tool;
  • Have a good knowledge of the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique and the reality of Francophonie in a minority setting;
  • Facilitated to develop positive, constructive and sustainable human relationships with and between the various community partners and staff of the selected schools;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the program "Mental health, we're talking about it! In the selected provinces;
  • Have flexibility in work schedule and execution, as well as multitasking ability;
  • Have a good knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point IT tools and know how to adapt to project management tools.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • University degree or equivalent in project management;
  • 3 years of professional experience, ideally in health / mental health;
  • Experience in managing multicultural teams;
  • Good knowledge of Francophone communities in British Columbia;
  • Relational ease and ability to express oneself in public;
  • Ability to build relationships with others
