As a Proposal Coordinator, you will assist with the business development and growth of Altus Group’s Cost & Project Management group in British Columbia and the US West Coast. Specifically, the role will focus on proposals, including: research, analysis, development, tracking, and writing proposals for prospective and existing clients.
The Proposal Coordinator will possess superior skills in Microsoft Office Suite; skills in Adobe Creative Suite are also considered an asset. In addition, superior writing skills are required. We are looking for someone who is able to research and understand our services and client requirements, then translate that understanding into concise, clear, and compelling content.
Understanding of professional services and/or the commercial real estate industry is an asset.
Liaise with management, technical, proposal and marketing staff to deliver proposals to each project’s unique requirements and timelines.
Ensure proposals are delivered by the prescribed methods (online, hand delivered, etc.) by deadlines.
Search relevant bid sites for potential opportunities as lead consultants and sub-consultants.
Enter leads in Sharepoint and/or SalesForce and update as the leads progress to proposals and jobs.
Produce reports for technical staff to follow up on pending/held proposals.
Content Generation & Maintenance:
Liaise with various groups (IT, HR, etc.) to extract information pertinent to standard responses required for proposals.
Coordinate with administrative staff to pull reports on the hours of the Vancouver office technical staff for production of resumes.
Perform research to draft new material and/or update existing content.
Provide support to marketing initiatives, as required.
Track and maintain events and campaigns tracking.
Track, prepare and update presentations as necessary
Provide administration and report production support to Senior Vancouver Staff, as required.
Collaborate with Vancouver staff to review commercial real estate articles and publications for business development leads
University Degree in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, Journalism or other relevant discipline
1-2 years of experience in proposal writing
Strong understanding of professional services / construction / real estate industry
Bilingual (French/English, Simplified Chinese/English) would be considered an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially strong technical writing background
Ability to interact and build relationships with management and staff at all levels of the organization
Superior organization and time management abilities
Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage people and information to create best-in-class documents under pressure: demonstrated ability to quickly change tasks as demands change
Ability to provide editing input
Flexibility and resilience to accept constructive criticism and editorial commentary in stride
Superior MS office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access Database; Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop Publisher, Visio, Salesforce and Sharepoint experience considered an asset;
Ability to learn new software as required
Must be able to create aesthetically pleasing proposals and information material, format, insert photos/graphics, manipulate layout, etc. in line with Altus Group branding guidelines (knowledge of Photoshop or similar software would be desirable)
