Deloitte is currently searching for a proposal/pursuit manager who will work within the Strategic Pursuit Centre (SPC) team.
The SPC’s pursuit management group supports partners and pursuit teams through the development of strategic communications for Deloitte’s largest and most complex public sector pursuits. The pursuit/proposal managers work closely with partners and client service teams in developing and executing persuasive proposals, meeting materials, and oral presentations that differentiate Deloitte in the marketplace. . Our team is growing and we are currently seeking a Pursuit/Proposal Manager for Public Sector in our British Columbia region.
As a Proposal/Pursuit Manager within the Deloitte Strategic Pursuit Centre, responsible for the British Columbia market, you will:
Guide proposal teams in developing the pursuit strategy, acting in a strategic procurement advisory role throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Act as the central point for the proposal development process by evaluating requirements, developing templates, schedules, managing a timely process under deadline, ensuring mandatory requirements are highlighted and met, and provding mock scoring on draft responses.
Lead and collaborate with the proposal development team, managing team members of various specialties and at various levels of seniority.
Acts as a procurement advisor to practitioners with an understanding of Canadian procurement laws and trade agreements.
Demonstrates quality assurance oversight to ensure proposal quality, compliancy, and completeness.
Coordinate support services, as required/as appropriate (e.g. graphics and desktop publishing services, print shop services, other administrative support, etc.) throughout the proposal lifecycle.
Debrief with teams after pursuits and conduct client debriefs once the contract is awarded.
Contribute to the development of Deloitte’s pursuit team by collaborating with other pursuit team members, positive teambuilding, taking and conducting training as appropriate, continuously refining and improving pursuit strategies, and accurately tracking pursuits.
Act as a liaison with partners, managers, and research specialists to provide pursuit teams with the full range of resources available through the SPC program.
Work closely with the various National Office of Sales practitionners and with Leaders to ensure alignment of priorities within Deloitte’s BC region.
Participate in appropriate sales and management meetings to understand and align with practice
The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Public Sector proposal development. Candidate must clearly demonstrate experience performing responsibilities similar to this advertised position.
Demonstrated ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgment
Proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Candidate must be able to work with practitioners with varying backgrounds, and at all levels of seniority.
Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
Ability to adjust to shifting priorities
Willing and able to travel in Canada (occasionally)
Bilingual is an asset (English and French)
PMP Desgination is an asset
