Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for service advising duties such as scheduling customer repairs and creating repair plans

Our Surrey Branch has an opening for a Service Writer for a contract term for approximately six months.   Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for service advising duties such as scheduling customer repairs and creating repair plans.  Additional responsibilities are described below.

Responsibilities:

   Preparing work orders, customer estimates, invoices and reports as required

   Scheduling customer repairs and preventative maintenance

   Communicating with customers on all aspects of repairs

   Creating, entering and closing warranty claims

   Creating invoices and reports

Position Requirements:

   Previous service writer experience in an automotive or heavy duty industry is an asset

   Parts oriented or a mechanical knowledge will be an asset

   Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BMS)

   Excellent communication and organizational skills

   Must be able to work under pressure

   Excellent phone manner and ability to deal with customers directly

   Must be able to multi-task and work as a member of the team

   Must display sound judgment and maturity

   Must be able to learn quickly and solve problems

   Flexible with respect to working hours

   Other duties, as assigned

   Bilingual in English & Punjabi is considered an asset

This position will work either a dayshift or an afternoon shift. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur are made in accordance with the terms and conditions of employment.
