We are looking for a Technical Writer for our client established for more than 30 years in Canada.

The preferred candidate should be able to analyze, interpret, publish various technical information into product manuals, descriptions, and procedures. Strong technical writing skills and MS Word experience are required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare various product manuals, descriptions, maintenance guidelines that are impacted by equipment changes or new product launches.

Record and compile work instructions, engineering bulletins, and process mappings.

Implement and initiate stakeholder satisfaction surveys and obtain feedback for the engineering director.

Inform of part updates for substitutions, repair kits, private labelling. In addition, market focused requirements and provide any other additional parts updates.

Develop and distribute training materials which will include preparing and editing training videos, updating training records, and setting up training sessions in conjunction with customers and engineers.

Ensure work is performed according to CEC documented guidelines.

Perform any other general administration duties of the department.

Will be regularly required to stand, walk and perform physical based job duties.

Qualifications

2 years’ technical writing experience or other related experience from a comparable field (manufacturing).

2 years of post secondary education.

Completed post secondary certification, diploma and degree is an asset.

Must hold a valid BC drivers license.

Must be proficient and have good working knowledge of MS word and able to type 50 words per minute.

Able to present published material to small groups and respond to questions.

Experience in using Adobe Photoshop and MS Access software is an asset.

Mechanical experience is an asset.

Other

Could work remotely from home 4 days/ week.
